Summer

In Japan, different flowers bloom in different seasons. This is one of the precious moments that Japanese embrace. It is a sign of changing season and it gives a bitter-sweet feeling of how time has passed by so quickly.
Blue Ails are summer flowers. They give a really cool feeling that resembles the hot summer in Japan.

Other than that, Fireflies-Watching is also one of the main attractions during summer in Japan. Fireflies inhabit only in areas with pure water and grass.
Recently, the number of  fireflies in Japan have been decreasing sharply. It is due to pollution of the rivers and other destruction to the natural environment.

Firefly imagoes rest under the shade of overgrown grass during the day and start moving at night. Therefore, this is the only time when we are able to watch them.

Fireflies have a short life span of about 2 - 3 weeks and they live only in summer.
During this period of time, both children and adults would wait patiently along the river for the precious crowd of fireflies to arrive.
